The filmmaker of Step Up 3D will be heading the teenage singing sensation’s 3D movie. Cameras will follow Bieber behind the scenes during his gigs at Madison Square Garden in New York and Nashville later this month, according to Deadline.com.

Chu said, when they approached me about doing the Justin film, I leaped at the chance to tell his story with heart and honesty. Most people don’t realize his story is a real underdog one. I hope to be able to tell his story in a genuine and compelling way, using all available source materials to convey his story of becoming one of the icons of this digital age.

The story is about a new voice who continues the tradition of earlier musicians who helped to define their generation.

The film of Justin’s is still untitled. It is scheduled to be released on the weekend of 2011 Valentine’s Day.
