At KDWB’s annual Jingle Ball held Saturday night there were eight different pop radio acts playing at Xcel Energy Center. However, scanning the t-shirts present among the 14,000 concert attendees suggested that there was truly only one star in the show.
At only fifteen years old and sporting a hairdo coming straight from a 1974 Tiger Beat issue, Justin Bieber is the hottest current thing going for those young enough to think of ‘N Sync as an oldies group. With a pre-teen girl face and right foot up in a cast, Bieber busted the moves late last month during his London concert. He definitely cast a strange figure. However, it didn’t matter at all. Every time the young kid opened up his mouth, the tween filled crowd howled with unbridled lust.
Thirteen year old Taylor Lieber, representing Bieber’s target market, said it best when she stated that even though Justin broke his foot, he rox my sox.
Adam Lambert, the suddenly controversial singer and runner-up of the 2009 American Idol, was added at the last minute to the lineup. He didn’t really do too much except banter patiently with the KDWB DJs a couple of times in between the sets.
Due to the abbreviated nature of the show, most of the sets were only 15 to 20 minutes long.
