Justin Bieber Makes Acting Debut on CSI

Posted by Janice Bryant On July - 23 - 2010

Justin Bieber will be gracing the small screen for the first time in his career in the season premiere of the CBS crime-drama hit “CSI”.

He is set to take on the role of troubled teen Jason McCann. The role, according to the network’s press release, is “pivotal” for the upcoming season as his character will play an important part in “the beginning of an emotional story that will conclude later in the season”. Sounds to me like he’s in for a recurring role, but no word yet as to how frequent we’ll be seeing “The Bieb” in the show, but so far, it only shapes as a single-episode appearance for artist.

In a comment by the show’s execs, they said that Bieber’s guest appearance on ‘’CSI” is “a treat for our audience and all of its new viewers”. And since both Bieber and the show have had tremendous impact in today’s culture, hopefully his guest appearance – even if it’s just for one episode – can help the show pull up more numbers especially from the singer’s demographic, and in return, the show will allow the teen singing sensation to be seen in a new light – that is, the acting spotlight.

As for the young pop crooner, he is obviously taking the gig seriously. “Morning world…we got the acting coach here…learning a new craft”, the singer posted on this Twitter account on Thursday.

Catch Justin Bieber and the rest of the “CSI” team as the show returns for its 11th season on September 23 on CBS.

Diddy Gives Justin Bieber a Lamborgini

Posted by Janice Bryant On July - 20 - 2010

Luck has struck on Bieber for the nth time as the 16-year old teen pop sensation has gotten himself – check this – a $200,000 Lamborghini, thanks to Diddy.

Bieber got the sports car from Diddy as a promise that when the former turns 16, the latter would give him his very first Lambo. Bieber, who turned 16 on March 1, was skeptical as he said in the March issue of People Magazine that Diddy is “all talk”.

Diddy might have a lot to say on things, but he also has a lot of things to give. Before he gave the Lambo to Bieber, he first gave his son, Justin Dior, a super expensive “sweet sixteen” gift earlier this year, a $360,000 Maybach. And no one should question Diddy’s decisions, as he bluntly told ABC’s Nightline, “I think it’s appropriate to give my kids whatever I want to give my kids.”

And although Bieber is not his son, and simply a musical protégé, for Diddy, a promise is a promise, especially when the promise is all caught on video.

Aside from the Lambo, Bieber also has a Range Rover which he frequently drives in L.A. (until the Lambo came along), and he is also said to own a Ferrari which he was seen driving in Miami. Bieber acquired his driver’s license four months ago.

Justin Bieber the Movie Star?

Posted by Janice Bryant On July - 13 - 2010

A couple of months ago, Justin Bieber told Teen Vogue that he also wants to become a movie star now that he’s a top selling pop artist.

“We’re trying to set up a movie for me in the near future—it’s going to be similar to the story of how I got discovered – kinda like my own version of 8 Mile”, Bieber said in an article featured in the April issue of Teen Vogue.

And now, HollywoodLife.com is confirming reports of a script being worked out for Bieber to star in, and although the script is untitled yet, the story is pretty similar to Eminem’s “8 Mile”, except of course for the depressing setting in Detroit, the alcoholic mother and the lack of big name cameos.

Not that we’re saying that there would be big name cameos in Bieber’s true-to-life-esque movie in the works like Usher and Justin Timberlake, whom we all know battled it out to sign the Canadian youngster for a record deal after posting a video of himself in Youtube. So yes, Youtube and those two singers should definitely play a part in the supposed script. Bieber’s Twitter page should have several sequences in the movie too since it’s an integral part of his life (and should we say, of his fans too). And how’s this for a special appearance – Kim Kardashian – let’s see what Bieber’s fans would have to say about that.

Now how about “4 Mile” or “Half Mile” for the title since Bieber’s not as tall as Eminem? Let’s see if that’ll make all the Biebster’s crawl of their shelves and into the movie houses. I seriously hope though, there not considering those titles.

‘My World’ Contest Hacked Sending Justin to North Korea

Posted by Janice Bryant On July - 7 - 2010

Is Justin Bieber really going to perform in North Korea? No, of course it isn’t. Unless you believe the online poll results over at Bieber’s official web page that has North Korea winning with more than 600,000 votes, supposedly sending the message that his North Korean fans – if he even has any – want him to come to the communist nation and perform.

It’s highly unlikely that “Bieber fever” has even reached North Korea when almost everything western is considered taboo in that side of the world, thanks to their formidable leader Kim Jong Il.

The online poll allowed the pop star’s fans to vote for the country that Bieber should include in his “My World” tour itinerary. Apparently, internet pranksters successfully hacked the poll and added countries like North Korea, which previously held the 24th spot before ruling the poll, and Israel, which currently holds the second position by a slim 30,000 vote margin.

4chan, a popular internet forum and message board was allegedly behind the prank, according to Hollywood News. The same website was also being held responsible for the Fourth of July pranks that Bieber’s fans encountered while searching for the artist over the net. The users were redirected to pages and pop-ups with outrageous content from pornographic to false reports claiming that Bieber has passed away.

Bieber’s fans are still awaiting confirmation if he really is stopping by North Korea after the poll closed earlier today. But for his sake, he should not give this idea some thought, unless he wants to spend the rest of his life in hard labor while singing “Baby” – if he’ll even be allowed to.

Meanwhile, the artist will kick off the US leg of his tour tomorrow

Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular over the holiday weekend has Justin Bieber sweeping off hundreds and maybe even thousands of his screaming young followers off their feet.

The Canadian-bred pop star was obviously excited to take part in one of the most celebrated holidays in the US, along with other artists like fellow non-American Enrique Iglesias and true blue American LeAnn Rimes. Nick Cannon and Alison Sweeney both held the hosting post for the night’s celebrations.

After he performed his hit singles “Baby” and “Somebody to Love”, the artist has this to say about NYC, his new found home: “I think New York City kind of represents all of the United States. It’s kind of the center of America. It’s the center of the world they say, so it’s pretty cool”.

The colorful and lively celebration culminated with a fireworks display that lighted up New York City. The event was broadcast last night over at NBC.
