Since Sunday, Justin has been resting his vocal cords. After performing in the Canadian show Much Music Video Awards, the sixteen year old pop singer was ordered to save his vocal cords for his upcoming rigorous touring schedule.

However, Justin won’t let the vocal rest get in his way. No doubt he will put on an incredible show tonight for his devoted fans. Just hours before the show the singing sensation from Canada said, the show is crazy.

Justin Bieber Pitches in for Gulf Coast Relief

Posted by Janice Bryant On June - 21 - 2010

On the CNN telethon June 21, “Disaster in the Gulf: How You Can Help,” Kathy Griffin made a joke and said if her and Ryan Seacrest- one of her frequent comedic targets- could sit together in a room, people could surely donate to the Gulf relief fund. However during the drive of two hours, Griffin along with other celebrity volunteers were all business.

The relief effort was hosted by Larry King as benefit for victims of the oil spill on the Gulf Coast. The televised event proceeds will be going to several charities, including the United Way and Nature Conservancy. Alyssa Milano, Nicole Richie, Pete Wentz and other celebrities were on the phones, while India Arie, Dr. John and Herbie Hancock performed on the live show.

Other celebrities taped their donation pleas, including Justin Bieber. He asked younger fans to do their share. Bieber said, the Gulf oil disaster is a big problem. Every little bit helps. This is urgent. There is no such a thing like being too young for pitching in. The things we do now will affect our future. Donate your time or money or anything to groups you hear of on this show.

Wentz, on a break from the phone lines said to Seacrest, many people have written to me to ask why they should be donating money. The crisis affects everyone. It needs to be addressed immediately. Be hopeful now. We all need to come together.

Richie said, it’s very important for us to get people involved. We need to provide ways for them to help. Everything counts.

During the show King interviewed Louisiana natives and actors Sam Trammel (from “True Blood”) and Ian Somerhalder (from “Vampire Diaries”). He begged the viewers to check in and step it up. All of us are in the battle together.

Trammel said every day we are losing about a football field’s worth of wetlands, which startled King. Now the oil is killing the grass.

Kathy Griffin, replying to the question people were asking about why they need to donate since the crisis was caused by a corporation said, this goes beyond just a financial solution. All of us need to help one another to get out of the crisis.

Justin Bieber Takes Over ‘Today’ Show

Posted by Janice Bryant On June - 4 - 2010

If lots of young girls were missing from school on June 4, it may have been due to a Bieber fever outbreak.

On Friday morning, Justin Bieber appeared on the “Today Show” in their free concert at Rockefeller Plaza in New York just outside the NBC studio. The teen superstar performed a mini concert that featured five of his more popular songs.

Kids weren’t the only ones with Bieber fever. As pointed out by Al Rocker, even the law wasn’t above it.

Roker asked a police officer, I have one question for you. Do you have the fever for Bieber? The officer smirked and answered yes.

Rocker said, the New York Police Department officially has Bieber fever.

A horde of Justin Bieber fans, who came from all parts of the country, filled the plaza up with their brightly colored posters and high pitched voices.

Matt Lauder said, this is the biggest crowed that we have had in days. Meredith Vierra replied, I get it. This is reminiscent of Paul McCartney to me.

The entire broadcast was infused with Bieber fever. Nearly every segment, from celebrity interviews to the weather, was Bieberized.

The weather forecast of Roker’s could hardly be heard over the screams from the fans. He also tweaked his signature sign off, saying “here is what is happening in your neck of Bieberwoods.”

Jonah Hill, star of”Get Him to the Greek” made an appearance to promote his film. His interview almost got drowned out by screams from the teens.

Hill joked that he had Bieber fever all across his body.

Bieber rushed in from the pre-performance rehearsal, interrupting the interview, and gave a fist pound to Hill for his comment.

Prior to performing, Bieber talked with Lauer about how his life had changed so much since he became famous.

When I go out now it’s pretty crazy. People always are asking me for my autograph and stuff. But I kind of signed up for that, said Bieber. He also said that longevity was his career goal. I want to be an artist who doesn’t just have one song and then they are done.

Bieber, as he was performing in the morning humid air, bounced with the background dancers on “One Time,” “Baby,” and other songs and didn’t miss a beat. Some of Bieber’s dance moves seemed to be inspired by Usher, his mentor. He moonwalked and chest pumped across the stage, and channeled Michael Jackson like Usher does so often.

After his performance, Bieber hung around and signed some autographs after he talked about his forthcoming tour.

I’m very excited. It starts in a few week. There will be magic stuff and lots of lights. It will be very cool.

Bieber, Jaden Smith Team Up for Karate Kid Video

Posted by Janice Bryant On June - 1 - 2010

There’s a new video out by Justin Bieber. Justin has teamed up with Jaden Smith (son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett), another young actor. They recorded a duet together for the soundtrack of “The Karate Kid,” Jaden’s upcoming film, due out on June 11.

The video combines movie scenes with footage from the recording studio. Jaden shows off his karate skills as well as his dancing and rapping abilities. That’s expected, given he is Will Smith’s son, right? Even more props are given by Jaden to his dad. Jaden states he was raised with Will’s power.

In the video, the pair also are shown being regular boys. They goof off and snack on Twizzlers. Bieber even tries out some karate moves.

In the past, Justin has worked with some some well known stars, including Soulja Boy, Ludacris and Usher. This time around he collaborated with a boy five years younger than him (Justin is 16, Jaden is 11). The Smith and Bieber act was adorable. We realized how much we would love seeing the teen superstar and his infamous coif (not Jaden, Justin) also collaborate with teens his age as well.
