You know you’ve made it big when, you not only have millions of screaming fans lining up to your every concert and world tour, but also, when you get invited by the “Queen of all Media” herself – Oprah Winfrey.
Justin Bieber was the feature guest on Oprah’s “World’s Most Talented Kids” episode, where only the most talented kids from around the world who dream big and would like to make it big in show business are featured. Justin’s appearance on Oprah turned the Harpo studios into a screaming fest of young girls (well, mostly) who are in their teens carrying assorted Bieber “paraphernalia” like shining shimmering splendid posters of the teen sensation.
Bieber did not come alone, though. He brought along his mom, Patty, with him and the two, along with Oprah, talked about growing up in Canada, how everyone caught on the “Bieber Fever” from YouTube – including Usher – who is partly responsible for the 16-year old’s success by signing him in for a record deal, maintaining a healthy and normal life with the fans screaming and the critics hating, and a lot more. The mother-son tandem didn’t seem nervous around Oprah, though. They said they were big fans of hers and have been watching her show from way back.
Oprah signed the help of her 11-yesr old correspondent Jordan who, along with his fans from the audience, threw some “real deal” questions at Bieber. The questions were mostly about his life at home (which his fans are just dying to hear about) like, if he ever gets grounded or if he does have a curfew. To this, his reply was a yes and a yes. Yes he does have a curfew at 10 PM and he does get grounded. When asked to recall the last time he had it, he said that he got grounded the week before and that his phone was confiscated for four long days.
Bieber was also asked how he feels about his fans getting injured and hurt at almost every concert that he had – whether it was in a mall at NYC or in Australia – where the show had to be canceled. He somehow could not fathom the magnitude of his impact now on teen girls all over the world but says that he is very appreciative for all the support, whether at his shows or concerts, or by simply following and tweeting him on his Twitter page, which he updates almost everyday.
Bieber capped his Oprah appearance by performing his new hit single “Baby” from his new album, “My World 2.0”. He delivered a concert-like performance, complete with microphone stunts, a dance routine and a solo drum performance. The entire studio, especially the audience including Oprah herself, were bouncing and screaming while “The Bieb” was performing.
