It appears that it isn’t only Betty White fans that are able to launch a successful campaign for “Saturday Night Live.” Justin Bieber hardcore devotees were able to catch the SNL producers’ attention with their @BieberOnSNL Twitter campaign. It gained approximately 2,600 followers, calling for Bieber to appear on the show. Bieber, who recently was part of a remake of “We Are The World,” will be performing on the late night show on April 10.

Justin thanked all of his fans through his Twitter page. He posted a shout out to the @BieberOnSNL followers and other fans in support of him. It’s happening, he Tweeted. SNL in April. Bieber hopes to do a digital short on SNL with Andy Samberg and the like. His dream host is Chuck Norris. Me and Chuck should be doing SNL together, Bieber said. That would be great.

Bieber’s musical appearance will occur a few weeks following the release of “My World, 2.0,” his second album. Recent musical guests on Saturday Night Live have included Crooked Vultures, Them and Michael Buble. Jennifer Lopez next Saturday will have double duties as both a musical act and host.
